I have heard of what’s it for? This in the context of a foreign unknown object. When we don’t know how to identify something or how to use something that we can identify, that is the time to ask, “What’s it for?” However, when we are talking about the Church, the question is entirely different. We should stop asking the question, “What is it for?” Hopefully your church has developed thinking surrounding the role, purpose, plan, goal of your local Church.The mentality that rises to the top is Missional! Micheal Green, a renowned Pastor and Anglican leader of their churches says, “God’s church exists not for itself but for the benefit of those who are not yet ready to become members.”
